This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use the Testile mobile application and our website at https://testiles.com(collectively, the "Service").

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us and information that is collected automatically when you use the Service. Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and a password. Passwords are stored in hashed form rather than plain text, so they cannot be read by our staff. You may also choose to provide additional profile details such as your target exam, preferred language, or study preferences.

You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and up to date. You can update your profile details from within the app at any time. Please use a valid email address so we can send you important account-related communications.

Usage Data

As you use the Service, we collect information about your activity, including test attempts, scores, time spent, progress, revision history, and notes you create or save. This data helps us personalise your experience, show your progress, and provide analysis and performance-related insights.

We also collect certain technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, language preference, and approximate location (based on IP address). Log data, including crash reports and diagnostic information, may be collected to help us identify and fix issues and improve the stability of the Service.

Payment-Related Information

When you make a purchase within the Service, payments are processed through trusted third-party payment gateways. Testile does not collect or store your full card number, CVV, or other complete payment instrument details on its own servers. Payment authentication and transaction processing are handled by the payment gateway under its own security and privacy standards.

We may retain a limited record of the transaction (such as an order reference, amount, date, and status) for the purposes of fulfilling your purchase, providing support, maintaining records for accounting, and handling refund requests as described in our Refund Policy.

Google Login Information

If you choose to sign in using your Google account, we receive basic profile information such as your name and email address from Google to create or access your Testile account. We use this information only to authenticate you and to set up your profile.

We do not request, and do not access, your Google password. We do not read your emails, access your contacts, or post anything on your behalf. You can revoke Testile's access to your Google account at any time from your Google account settings.

How We Use Data

We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including delivering tests, notes, analysis, and revision tools. We use it to create and manage your account, process payments, and respond to your support requests.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to improve our content and features, monitor usage trends, troubleshoot issues, and send you important updates such as service announcements, security notices, or material policy changes. You can manage your communication preferences from within the app where applicable.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate the Service, such as payment gateways, cloud hosting providers, analytics tools, and communication services. These providers are bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations and may only use your information to provide services to us.

We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, court order, or government request, or where we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Testile, our users, or others. The Service is intended for exam aspirants and is not directed at young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a manner inconsistent with applicable law.
